My husband likes to have one cup of coffee every morning, and my old 12-cup coffee maker was a little to large for just one cup of coffee a day, so I replaced it with this one. I love it. It's easy to program, perfect for one or two cups at a time, and tucks away nicely in a corner on the kitchen counter. Note that you will need the smaller size coffee filters.
Quick, simple, programmable, easy to clean. This little coffee pot does the trick. It took me awhile to figure the proper ratio to make 'good' coffee. With the product being so small it took a little fin-eggaling. But overall, I'm happy with the purchase of this product.
I find it works just fine for making coffee, but the whole '4 cups' is a bit misleading, as it does not refer to a standard measuring cup size, but some vague amount. It fills up my thermos with a little left over, so it probably comes out to 2 measuring cups. The programmable brew works fine, can set it to off when you wake up, its easy to use, easy to clean, and does what it should.
It must have enjoyed the rest because it never would even turn on again. I bought this last fall to take with us on a trip to Arizona in March 2009. It performed nicely for four days and on the fifth day it rested. Unfortunately, by the time I unpackaged it, the send-back period had expired. Buy with caution.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this coffee maker, but please be aware that it is TINY. (The photos are totally deceptive - that cup of coffee would be good with a Holly Hobby breakfast)If you enjoy a large mug of coffee in the morning, go with (at least) an 8-cup coffee maker, this one will leave you wanting more.
